Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari
Chairman

Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Buckingham, England, and a Certificate in Legal Practice from the University of Malaya. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1986 and built a distinguished career spanning more than three decades as a legal practitioner and managing partner before retiring from practice in 2016.

Throughout his professional journey, Datuk Abdul Rashid has accumulated extensive experience in corporate and commercial matters, including advising on major transactions, drafting security documents for banks and financial institutions, and handling matters involving both Islamic and conventional financing. His deep understanding of governance, risk management and corporate structuring provides strong strategic value to the company.

Beyond his corporate contributions, Datuk Abdul Rashid is actively involved in community development and charitable initiatives. He currently serves as the Secretary of Yayasan Pembangunan Iktisad Islam Malaysia (YPHM), TSM Charity Golf Foundation, and Yayasan Pagoh, and is a Council Member of the Justice of Peace of Selangor.

With his leadership experience, industry exposure and commitment to corporate integrity, Datuk Abdul Rashid plays a key role in guiding the company’s vision and governance in the EPCC Solar PV sector.

Dato’ Tee Chai Seng
Managing Director

Dato’ Ir. Tee Chai Seng is our Group Managing Director. He is primarily responsible for our Group’s business strategies and overseeing business development activities. He has more than 41 years of experience in the building industry including design and supervision of several major projects in Klang Valley, project management services, construction management and property development. His extensive background in project management, construction management and property development form a strong foundation for steering our Group’s EPCC operations, particularly within the Solar PV industry where technical rigour and integrated project delivery are critical.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (High Honor) from The University of Texas at Arlington, United States in 1984. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia, a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (MIEM), a member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia (MIE Aust), a member of the Association of Consulting Engineers, Malaysia and E.I.T. (Engineer In Training).

Ir. Lee Han Woon
Director

Ir. Lee Han Woon is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and graduated with an honors degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

With over 19 years of experience in engineering services, Ir. Lee has successfully completed numerous townships and mixed development projects. Recently, he has focused on the renewable energy sector, particularly solar energy. He played a key role in the development of two solar farms in Kudat, Sabah, each with a capacity of 50MW, contributing significantly to the region’s clean energy initiatives.

In addition to his involvement in large-scale solar projects, Ir. Lee serves as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor for solar service providers, delivering tailored solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. His expertise extends to the design and implementation of solar power systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
Ir. Lee is proficient in overall conceptual planning, preliminary design, detailed engineering studies, authority submissions and approvals, contract administration, and project management, including the CCC completion process. His commitment to advancing solar technologies positions him as a key player in the transition towards sustainable energy practices.

CAN I DIY INSTALL SOLAR PANELS?
Solar panels in Malaysia are not typically sold to the general public, so you may end spending a larger sum of money for all the necessary equipment. Also, installing a solar panel by yourself may void your home insurance policy, since you are not a licensed solar engineer or electrician.

IS THERE A CONTRACT BETWEEN NEM, TNB AND THE NEM CONSUMER?
The NEM tenure will be for a period of ten (10) years on commencement of the NEM Contract. After the ten (10) years period, the solar PV Installation shall be strictly for self-consumption in the Premise where the solar PV installation is installed, and no offset and roll-over will be allowed for any excess Energy exported.
